Sergiu S. Simmel is founder and Principal of Clepsydra Systems, where he provides senior technology and product counsel, and engineering consulting services. Outside Clepsydra Systems, he has held business and technology executive management positions at MediaMap, Inc., InUnity Corporation (which he co-founded in 1995 -- now New River Investors Communications, Inc.) and Penobscot Development Corporation (which he co-founded in 1991). He also served as a manager and software architect at Oberon Software, Samsung Software America, Language Technology Inc. and Wang Labs.




	Mr. Simmel is the creator and architect of several products, including the Kala™ object persistent store, Digital Direct Prospectus™ , ProspectusExpress™, and Digital Direct Forms™ electronic compliance services. He is the inventor on U.S. Patent #6,122,635 on “Mapping Compliance Information Into Useable Format.” Mr. Simmel is a graduate of University of Minnesota, where he received his M.S. in Computer and Information Sciences. He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society, ACM, The MIT Enterprise Forum, and The MENSA Society.
